In Memory of Puss
2000 - 2023
We adopted the most beautiful little black and white kitten from the RSPCA at 8 weeks and named him puss.
Little did I know then that we would have the most closest, beautiful bond of 23 years.
He loved to curl up on the nape of your neck and as he got bigger he still wanted to do this (not always so easy!)
We had a very deep, beautiful bond. He was my boy and was always by my side. I’m sure over many years he was there to catch many a tear from me on his head, especially when my dear mum passed in 2015.I was heartbroken but he never left my side only to eat and toilet. He had this way of staring into your eyes and many times I stated, “I feel like he is touching my soul!!) I had the honour of nursing him through pancreatitis (diagnosed by Brunker road vets) when he was 20. 24/7 around the clock care for 3 weeks. At night I would nurse him in my arms and pray to give me a few more years as I wasn’t ready to say goodbye just yet. My prayers were answered, and he lived another 3 years! He was PTS at Brunker road vets in November 2023, and my heart was absolutely broken. The staff there were so understanding and compassionate. The Dr said, “Puss is very old and very, very tired”. I knew in my heart it was his time to leave me. I broke my heart as I felt part of my heart left with him that day.
In honour of Puss, we have adopted 2 more kittens, but as much as I love and adore them, there will only ever be 1 puss.
He was unique, clever, intuitive, loving and so loved.
I have so many wonderful memories of our precious boy.
