All our veterinarians are experienced in routine surgical procedures such as desexing, tumour removal, lacerations, caesareans and abdominal surgery. In addition to routine surgery, Brunker Road Veterinarians have provided Newcastle and the Hunter with general and referral surgical services for over 25 years. Both have developed the surgical experience that only comes from a large caseload and extensive study.

Procedures performed regularly include:

• Orthopaedic – TPLO (a tibial plateau leveling osetotomy performed for cruciate repairs), patella luxation repair, complex limb fracture repairs, pelvic fractures, OCD removal and other joint arthrotomies, corrective osteotomies for angular limb deformities, arthrodesis, mandibulectomies and maxillectomies.
• Soft tissue – full range of general procedures as well as laryngeal tie backs, brachiocephalic airway surgery, total ear canal ablations and lateral bullae osteotomies, liver/lung lobectomies, conjunctival pedical grafts, complex oncological reconstructions (including thoracic wall reconstruction, axial pattern flaps and free skin grafts), and a full range of gastrointestinal and urogenital procedures.
